NOTICE OF VACANCY
POSITION: Medical Device Reprocessing & Distribution (MDRD) Support I
Primary Site: Stratford/Clinton
Casual
(Shifts: 8-hours, 24 hours/day, 7 day/week coverage, may be subject to change)
REPORTS TO: Supervisor, MDRD
DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible
SALARY: $28.01 to $29.65 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Grade12 education
- Sterile Processing Certificate from an accredited college or a Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Ontario (M.D.R.A.O) Certificate *Grow Your Own opportunities available*
- CMDRT Certified Medical Device Reprocessing Technician by CSA preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- One year recent relevant experience preferred
- Experience using reprocessing equipment, ultrasonic washer, washer disinfectors, steam sterilizer, Sterrad sterilizer, cart washer, Trophon disinfector, endoscope washer and knowledgeable in Censitrac instrument tracking system preferred
ABILITIES:
- A team player with good organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work and exercise judgement independently, with limited supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team, along with the ability to take direction from co-workers, in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot, resolve conflict, think and act quickly under pressure.
- Ability to work with detergents and disinfectants and wear personal protective equipment while working in a decontamination area.
- Committed to maintaining professional skills by participating in educational in-services in person and online.
- Must be comfortable with computers (eg. instrument tracking software and other technologies).
- Must be able to read, write and receive instructions in English
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position
