NOTICE OF VACANCY
POSITION: REGISTERED NURSE
Pre- & Post- Anaesthetic Care Unit
Clinton and Stratford
Regular Part-Time
REPORTS TO: Manager, Surgical Services
DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible
SALARY: $39.07 to $56.00 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- PACU course and current ACLS
EXPERIENCE:
- Recent clinical experience in Recovery Room/Day Surgery/ENDO preferred.
- Recent Paediatric and adult clinical experience in PACU.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Specialized nursing skills in the following areas:
- Airway Management and Breathing Support
- Haemodynamic Monitoring
- E.C.G. Interpretation course
- Physical Assessment Skills
- Ability to identify pre and post op complications/risks.
- Ability to organize, work independently, problem solve and trouble shoot.
- Good understanding and knowledge of endoscopy procedures and technology.
- Working knowledge of Meditech Information System and personal computer applications.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Meditech information system, OR+ array and personal computer
applications
-Thirty (30) minute return time will be required when scheduled for standby
