Actuarial Analyst

Our client, a respected and well-established insurance provider in Alberta, is seeking an experienced actuary with specialized expertise in no-fault insurance rating. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to Alberta’s ongoing auto insurance reform.

The client has a branch office in downtown Vancouver, and this role offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Actuarial on the no-fault insurance reform initiative
• Analyze insurance rates and rating procedures for both personal and commercial lines
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for the executive management team
• Develop, maintain, and enhance effective rating systems
• Collect and analyze data to support the company’s reinsurance program

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry
• Proven experience with no-fault insurance rating (required)
• Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, R, and VBA
• ACAS or FCAS designation is an asset
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Edmonton as needed

Benefits & Perks:

• Salary: $90,000 to $145,000 (flexible)
