Corporate Paralegal

Our client in the real estate industry is actively seeking a Corporate Paralegal. In this role, you will be essential in supporting our legal team during mergers, acquisitions, contract signings, and other corporate transactions. Your expertise in corporate law, due diligence, and document management will be crucial for our organization's success.

• Drafting and reviewing documents, including contracts, agreements, and governance documents.
• Organizing and maintaining contract files, tracking deadlines, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Providing support for potential mergers, acquisitions, or investment opportunities.
• Assisting with post-closing matters, such as filing required documents with regulatory authorities.
• Identifying risks, legal issues, and compliance matters.
• Drafting and maintaining corporate records.
• Effective communication with internal teams, clients, and external counsel.
• Ensuring corporate compliance with relevant laws and regulations, specifically related to cannabis retail activities.
• Assisting with intellectual property matters while liaising with IP lawyers as needed.
• Assisting with employment law matters as the company continues to grow.
• Providing other administrative support, including basic invoice management, document control, data management, and data reporting using Excel.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a paralegal
• Experience with entity creation and acquisitions
• Experience with healthcare regulatory compliance
• Post-secondary education
• Proficient in MS Office
