About the Opportunity:
This is an amazing opportunity for a senior Administrative Assistant with a blend of Executive and Legal support experience to join one of Canadas best law firms. This is a full-time permanent position, Monday through Friday (8.30am to 4.30pm) for someone who is detail oriented, proactive and able to work well both independently and within a team environment.

About the Position:
As an Executive Legal Assistant you will be providing executive assistance to one Partner and legal assistance to one Partner and two Associates in a team of Legal Administrative Assistants within the Corporate/Commercial & Securities Group.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Performing editing and formatting for correspondence and documents;
  • Preparing various administrative tasks including file opening, billing and follow-up to review outstanding accounts;
  • Maintain an efficient file system and have strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail;
  • Monitoring and following up on all post-closing documents; and
  • Performing day-to-day administrative tasks including file organization, diarizations, booking appointments and maintaining calendars.
  • Organizing travel arrangements and managing expenses

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an EA
  • Prior experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant
  • Minimum five years of experience in any law practice area. Experience in a corporate commercial/securities practice area would be an asset
  • Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and document management software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain an efficient electronic file system
  • Ability to follow instructions from a diverse group of lawyers and staff with minimal supervision
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional team environment.

Compensation:

  • Salary: $65,000 - $95,000 (based on experience)
