M&E Project Coordinator – Ottawa

M&E Coordinator for one of the fastest growing General Contractors in Ottawa working on large institutional and residential projects.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a family-owned business that has been operational for over 50 years. The company is multi faceted with a Building, Civil and Mining division. This position is for their Building division which includes large scale institutional projects and high-rise residential buildings.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This general contractor has recently won a mega industrial project in Ottawa that will be a billion-dollar project and will last over 10 years. The company has also landed a lot of other projects recently including some large scale institutional and high-rise residential projects. The ideal candidate will be moved onto the job in which they are most suited and will be reporting to a Project Manager.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The duties for the M&E Coordinator include the following:

• Planning and organizing mechanical and electrical subtrades on site.
• Planning and scheduling
• Managing contracts, documentation and change orders.
• Hands on approach in pre-construction meetings with subcontractors.
• Assist in reviewing mechanical and electrical scope during proposal and bids.
• Assist in project commissioning and close out

THE REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years as an M&E Coordinator
• Experience working on institutional and residential high-rise projects an asset.
• BA in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• LEED accreditation an asset
• Ability to work from site full time.

COMPENSATION

• $85,000 - $125,000 DOE
• Medical and Dental benefits
• 4 weeks vacation
• RRSP matching up to 5%
