Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a residential maintenance technician. You will be the support the team needs to maintain our portfolio of rental buildings. The position would be responsible for common area renovations projects, light suite repairs such as minor plumbing, minor electrical, painting, drywalling, and any ad hoc work that might be needed around the building.

ABOUT THE POSITION

You will be hands on and responsible for ensuring smooth operations of the commercial/rental properties in the portfolio. The role requires you to have experience in general maintenance, be proficient on the tools to carry out/complete work orders, and identify deficiencies that would require contractors.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Conducting preventative maintenance inspections across.
  • Carrying out general maintenance including but not limited to minor electrical, plumbing and drywall repairs.
  • Responding to work orders for emergency call outs and providing quotes.
  • Completing preventative maintenance checks.
  • Liaising with contractors for larger projects.
  • Maintain a visible, professional (friendly/courteous) presence at the property to promote positive tenant relationships; respond to tenant inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
  • Vacant suite maintenance and touch ups.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years of residential property maintenance experience.
  • Experience in maintaining DDC, HVAC, elevator equipment, lightning control systems, fire safety, and electrical room maintenance.

COMPENSATION

  • $50,000-70,000 per annum
  • Extended medical and dental
  • 2 weeks vacation
