About the Job

Cook III
In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, this position is in charge of:

• Planning, preparing and/or directing the preparation of meals in a kitchen providing under 200 meals per day
• Responsible for supervising the Environmental and Laundry Service operations in the designated facilities.
• Performs duties such as: supervising designated staff,
• Planning and developing menus and recipes,
• Ordering food and supplies,
• Scheduling and co-ordinating work assignments a
• Determining related training and orientation requirements.
• Performs duties related to the preparation and cooking of food items.
• Portioning and serving food.
• Washing, and cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and designated cooking/workstations.


This is a Relief Full-Time (1.0) opportunity until the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days rotating from 06:00 to 14:00 hours.

Qualfications
Education, Training and Experience

• Graduation from a recognized 12-month program in cooking plus two years’ recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to supervise.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
