Position Summary
About Us:
We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our dedicated and supportive team at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC. Our facility is committed to providing high-quality care, and we need skilled professionals to ensure our infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards.
What will you work on:
As an Electrician at East Kootenay Regional Hospital, you will perform skilled electrical work at the journeyman level. This includes installation, construction, alteration, repairing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and servicing of electrical and electronic equipment and systems in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. You will review work requests, consult with user departments regarding specifications and project requirements, interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the required materials and equipment, and estimate project costs. Additionally, you will prepare for work projects by performing operational and safety risk assessments, arranging work schedules with user departments, and assembling supplies, tools, and equipment.
Work Schedule:
This is a relief full-time position working Monday to Friday day shifts from 08:00 to 16:00. You'll qualify for a comprehensive benefits package, providing added peace of mind.

Qualfications
• Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Electrician recognized by the Province of British Columbia.
• Two (2) years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Must have a B.C. Class B Field Safety Representative Certificate.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required.
