Electrician

Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join our dedicated and supportive team at Castlegar District Hospital in Castlegar, BC. This position provides coverage for Castlegar District Hospital and Boundary Hospital in Grand Forks. Home site can be either Grand Forks or Castlegar. Traveling will be required between Grand Forks and Castlegar as needed, as the electrical operating permit will be held by the successful candidate for both facilities. On-call rotation required at home site.

This position works Monday to Wednesday day shifts from 07:30 to 15:30.

What will you work on:
As an Electrician, you'll take on a variety of hands-on tasks, from installing and maintaining electrical and electronic systems to troubleshooting and repairing complex issues. You'll work closely with different departments, reviewing work requests, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring all projects meet safety standards and regulations. Your role also includes estimating project costs, coordinating schedules, and preparing materials and equipment to get the job done efficiently. Whether you're upgrading existing systems or tackling new installations, your expertise will help keep our operations running safely and smoothly.

Qualfications
• Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Electrician recognized by the Province of British Columbia. Two (2) years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Must have a B.C. Class B Field Safety Representative Certificate.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required.
