Position Summary
We are currently seeking a permanent part time (0.60 FTE) Health Care Worker - Adult program to join our Mental Health (MH) Adult Program team in Princeton, B.C.

What will you work on?
The Health Care Worker - Adult Program assists clients with mental, developmental and/or physical disabilities to live successfully in the community by determining appropriate care to meet individual needs and situational requirements. Provides a variety of day to day physical, emotional, and social supports, advocacy, life skills assistance, information, resources and demonstrations to enable independent living within a range of housing options. This position is administratively responsible to the Program Manager, Adult Mental Health Services.
Scheduling Information:
Days of work are Wednesday to Friday and shift times are from 08:30 to 16:30 hours.

Qualfications
Education, Training and Experience:
• Grade 12
• Human Service or Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma plus a Community Mental Health Certificate
• Class V BC Driver’s License
• Certificates in CPR, First Aid, and Food Safe
• Recent related experience of two years’ working with people with serious and persistent mental illness in the community. Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary and multi-agency context supporting persons with mental illness.
