Salary:
Salary range for the position is $88,990 to $127,923. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

About the job:
In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Leadership & Organization Development Consultant (L&ODC) is responsible for providing proactive consulting services to support the successful execution of strategic portfolio business functions, change and team development. The L&ODC Consultant will also be responsible for co-designing, facilitating, and assessing the effectiveness of learning and educational programs in leadership, change and managerial functions to build the capacity of the organization to lead, learn, communicate, and change more effectively.

Typical duties and responsibilities:

Consulting services
The L&ODC will provide proactive services at the Vice President and portfolio level in the following areas:

Provides integrated organization and change consulting, by understanding and supporting portfolio imperatives, strategic goals, and business needs. The consultant leads, consults, designs, facilitates, and advises on organization development and/or change as required for organizational teams, committees, planning and working groups.
Demonstrated ability to use action research methods, change management and systems thinking theory, and use of data in practical ways to provide client-centered consulting and results.
Demonstrated ability to influence and shape large-scale, organization wide transformational efforts.
Analyses the impact of change and develops strategies for integration and implementation in conjunction with clients.
Integrates system linkages/diagnoses/performance/behavioral gaps.
Supports team development and isolates team dynamics for interventions.
Designs, facilitates, and supports large- and small-scale change interventions within and across portfolios.
Provides consulting services for the successful integration of province-wide initiatives.
In alignment with IH’s Occupational Health & Safety Program, employees shall adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times and attend all required training. Employees are responsible to report any identified hazards, unsafe conditions or incidents to the manager or supervisor immediately.
Provides other related L&ODC professional functions such as: debrief of psychometric materials and surveys, coaching, organizational and behavioral analysis, engagement surveys, and other duties as required.

Learning and Development
The L&ODC will play an integral role in the development and implementation of leadership/change development, mentoring, e-learning, engagement, and coaching services/programs across Interior Health.
Supports and develops the human potential of the Health Authority as a critical component in accomplishing the organization’s strategic goals.
Researches and supports the on-going development of standardized IH OD/change management processes, tools, educational materials, and training and development initiatives to support leaders and their teams across the organization.
Co-designs, and/or facilitates, a variety of learning opportunities either through coaching, training and/or interventions.
• Peer coaching and training/developing L&ODC and external L&ODC practitioners to build fully functioning skills within the IH culture.

Leadership Development
In coordination with the British Columbia Health Leaders Development Collaborative (BCHLDC) subcommittees, the incumbent will examine and assess new and existing program delivery modalities and present and advocate when necessary, the Interior Health perspective and experience in sub-committee work.

Province-wide:
• Participates and contributes thought leadership and expertise to BCHLDC and change subcommittees.
• Develops, as required, learning needs assessments to support BCHLDC, Change and IH learning initiatives.
• Supports and facilitates existing programs and promotes and facilitates new emerging BCHLDC, Change and collaborative IH learning programs.

In-house:
• Develops IH-wide training content and schedules.
• Promotes and models a coaching environment.
• Leverages and models the use of technology to enable learning, including modalities such as eLearning, web conferencing, and group mentoring.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualfications

Education, Training, and Experience
• Master’s Degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology or Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Adult Education, Human Resource Management, Health Care Administration, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years as an internal or external Organization Development or Change Consultant, Leadership/Learning Specialist/Consultant.
• A coaching and/or behavioral/organizational systems certificate would be preferred.
• Preferred certificates in Power and Systems, Clear Leadership, Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Lumina, EQ 360, Prosci change methodology.
• An equivalent combination of skills and experience will also be considered.
