Position Summary
If you are a motivated and organized Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with strong background in education delivery, then Interior Health has a great Educator opportunity for you in the beautiful community of Kelowna, B.C.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the Health Career Access Program across acute, community, Assisted Living and long-term care sectors. This position can be exciting and challenging with varied responsibilities and priorities.

About the Job:
The Licensed Practical Nurse, HCAP Educator (LPNE):
• Utilizes evidence-informed practice, adult education theory and demonstrated communication/ facilitation skills to provide progressive education programs and facilitate learning objectives and activities
• Utilizes education technology and established training materials to conduct formal/informal presentations, in-service sessions and demonstration of work methods and procedures, either in groups or individually; assesses program participants, formally or informally, to determine if they achieved program learning objectives
• Works with internal and external partners to ensure overall understanding of the Health Career Access Program
• Participates in evaluation, policy, quality improvement and risk management activities
• The LPNE performs duties within a program and regional focus and may be required to work at multiple sites across Interior Health
• Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of training materials in collaboration with the Leader, HCAP and/or program/site Clinical Nurse Educator
• This position provides nursing care within the LPN Standards of Practice as outlined by British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and within employer policies, procedures, limits and conditions.
This is a RELIEF FULL-TIME (1.0 FTE) position until August 31, 2025 or until the return of the incumbent. Shifts are Monday to Friday days with shift times of 08:00 to 16:00.

Qualfications
• Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Three (3) years’ recent related clinical experience in the designated clinical area, including one (1) year related teaching, leadership, or preceptorship experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid BC Driver's License
