Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Hemodialysis team at the Kelowna General Hospital in beautiful Kelowna, B.C If you are a Registered Nurse with Hemodialysis education/training and experience, apply today!

About the Job:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
• Assesses, plans, implements and provides nursing care to patients/clients receiving hemodialysis
• Provides practical nursing services during the pre-dialysis, intra-dialysis and post-dialysis periods
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols.
Reporting to the Manager of Renal Services in Kelowna, the Licensed Practical Nurse, Hemodialysis, provides nursing care and support to patients with chronic kidney disease or kidney related problems undergoing hemodialysis based at our satellite outpatient clinic in Vernon.
This is a Permanent Part Time (0.80) opportunity.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days and evenings; rotating from 07:00 to 15:00, 14:45 to 22:45 hours.

Qualfications
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
• Completion of a recognized nephrology nursing certificate program plus two years recent related general duty nursing experience; OR completion of a recognized nephrology nursing certificate program plus one year recent related critical care nursing experience; OR one year recent related hemodialysis nursing experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Current BCLS certification required. Valid BC Driver’s License required
