A permanent full-time Night Supervisor, Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) IV opportunity is available now at the Kelowna General Hospital (KGH). Days of work are rotating and shift times include day, evening and night shifts.

About the job:

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, this position supervises the operation of the Laboratory during the night shift and liaises with evening/day shift staff to ensure appropriate services are provided on these shifts. Performs routine and specialized procedures in all sections of the laboratory as required.

About this location:

The KGH Laboratory is our largest and most specialized 24/7 lab and progressive teaching facility. The Lab consists of hundreds of team members who work collaboratively in a variety of disciplines such as Collections, Accession, Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, Microbiology, Histology, AP and Molecular.

Qualfications
Medical Laboratory Technologist with current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS).
Minimum two years’ recent experience as a general duty technologist in a medical laboratory.
Supervisory and related technical continuing education courses.
Equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the facility
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
