Position Summary
Interior Health is looking for full-time, part-time and casual NPs to join our dynamic Nurse Practitioner (NP) Hospitalist program in Vernon, BC.

Working in an interdisciplinary team and collaboratively with the Hospitalists GPs and NP, the NP will be responsible for the care of a group of inpatients managing and directing clinical care, participating in short-term and long-term planning of patient care with members of the inter-professional team, and coordinating the transitions in care. A population of focus will be the older adult patients admitted to the hospitalist program with sub-acute and complex chronic care needs. Management of behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia is an asset. Working at a high level of autonomy is expected along with collaboration, consultation and referrals to physicians and other members of the health care team.

Hours are 0800-1600 and rotating schedule includes weekends and stats.

Candidates with recent acute care experience, and strong general medicine/geriatric skills are preferred. Salary Range: Salary range for the position is $74.74/hour - $82.21/hour. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant.

Qualfications
Education, Training, and Experience:
• Current registration and exam-qualified as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Recent, relevant clinical nursing experience
