Position Summary
Interior Health is seeking a dynamic NP to join our team in a permanent part time (0.80 FTE) position.The NP will join the robust inter-professional team at the Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) clinic in downtown Kelowna. The focus of the OAT clinic is on substance use interventions for opioid dependant individuals only. Members of the interdisciplinary team include: a NP, Physician, a team leader, registered nurses, social workers and medical office assistants. The focus of the role will be to provide Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT) to clients who have complex substance use disorders and concurrent complex mental health or medical needs, including chronic non-malignant pain. Patients may be unattached or attached to other primary care providers or services and need more intensive care that can be best provided by the NP. Some of the clients may be attached to mental health services and require case management. The NP will provide expedient episodic primary care along with addiction therapies and chronic non-cancer pain management.

Work site: OAT clinic, 505 Doyle Ave. Hours: Currently the clinic is open Monday-Saturday 0800-2000h. Hours to be determined with the NP to meet needs of clinic.

This position will also have a new and exciting post graduate nurse practitioner residency program. Interior Health offers a residency program for NPs in the province, which will be key to supporting the development of NPs and practice-readiness in select programs.

Salary Range:
Salary range for the position is $74.74/hour - $82.21/hour. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant.

Qualfications
Education, Training, and Experience:
• Current registration and exam-qualified as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Successful completion of Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
• Recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
