Salary Range:
Salary range for the position is $74.74/hour - $82.21/hour. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant.

Interior Health is looking to fill a total of 1.4FTE (permanent full-time and part-time) position in Kelowna, BC. Bring your clinical expertise and passion for providing quality and compassionate care to a challenging and rewarding role as a Nurse Practitioner. In this role Nurse Practitioner will join Intensive Housing Outreach Team (IHOT) to provide care for population at HEART and HEARTH city of Kelowna Programs. Mission and population oriented, IHOT provides team-based full scope primary care to vulnerable populations who experience complex medical, social, substance use and mental health challenges. The role will include outreach and satellite clinic provision of primary care. Knowledge and expertise in the areas of opioid agonist therapies, mental health, gender affirming care, and complex illness management are an asset.

In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible and accountable for the comprehensive assessment of patients/clients/residents including diagnosing diseases, disorders, and conditions. The Nurse Practitioner initiates treatment including healthcare management and therapeutic interventions and prescribes medications in accordance with statutory and regulatory standards, limits, conditions, and employer policies and procedures. The Nurse Practitioner provides professional guidance to other health professionals and practices autonomously and interdependently within the context of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, making referrals to specialist physicians and others as appropriate. The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with patients/clients/residents and other health professionals to identify and assess trends and patterns that have implications for patients/clients/residents, families, and communities; develops and implements population- and evidence-based strategies to improve health; and participates in policy-making activities that influence health services and practices. The Nurse Practitioner participates in peer and self review to evaluate the outcome of services at the patient/client/resident, community, and population levels.

Qualfications
Education, Training and Experience
• Current registration and exam-qualified as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Successful completion of Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
• Recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
