Position Summary
Cariboo Community Health Services (WLC), located in Williams Lake, B.C., is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Community Care Home Health Team. Days of work are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00 hours.

About the position:
In this position the Community Occupational Therapist provide in-home assessments, consultations, treatment and education to clients and their families. And ensures the home environment is organized to make daily tasks more manageable. Services training in the use of mobility devices like walkers and crutches; or recommending modifications to make a home accessible and safe. The Occupational Therapist also provides information about acquiring or using aids to personal care, such as bath seats, grab bars or adaptive devices as well as equipment such as scooters, wheelchairs and lifts.
Home Support referrals will include clients located within the communities of Williams Lake, Mcleese Lake, 140 Mile, Horsefly/Likely, and Alkali/Riske Creek. Travel is necessary within this role and a valid Driver’s License is required. Coverage will also include Long-Term Care referrals from Deni House.

Qualfications
- Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
- Full practicing registration as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC). Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
- Valid BC Driver’s license.
