Position Summary
We have a permanent part-time (0.50 FTE) Occupational Therapist opening in 100 Mile House, B.C. This position works Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 08:00 to 16:00 working out of the 100 Mile House Primary Care Network.

About the position:

Position is in Primary Care providing service to patients with occupational therapy needs in the community. The Occupational Therapist plays a crucial part in providing assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education to patients and/or their caregivers. Operating within a client-centered approach and as an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, you make a substantial contribution to promote functional independence and enable patients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes.

This primary care hub is designed to offer a range of primary care services to residents of 100 Mil House and the surrounding areas, with the goal of improving health outcomes by providing coordinated and comprehensive care. Key features and services include multidisciplinary care team, accessible entry point into the healthcare system, patient-centred care, health services integration, mental health and wellness and support for Indigenous communities.

Tucked in the heart of the Cariboo, 100 Mile House is surrounded by lakes, forests, and endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. Qualfications
Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.

Full practicing registration as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC). Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.

Valid BC Driver’s license.
