Position Summary
Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) has an immediate permanent, part-time (0.69 FTE) Occupational Therapist opening.

Occupational Therapists play a crucial part in providing assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education to patients and/or their caregivers. Operating within a client-centered approach and as an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, an Occupational Therapist makes a substantial contribution to promote functional independence and enable patients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. Days of work are rotating days working every other weekend. Shifts times 08:00 to 16:00 hours.
KGH is a tertiary hospital offering a full range of services with 472-inpatient beds and over 78,000 ED visits yearly. Adjacent to KGH is home to the brand new Interior Heart & Surgical Centre (IHSC) which opened in 2015 and is BC’s only cardiac critical care centre outside of Victoria and the Lower Mainland.

Qualfications
• Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
• Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professions of British Columbia (CHCPBC) [formerly College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC)]. Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists.
• Valid Driver’s license.
