Position Summary
Boundary Community Care, located in Grand Forks, B.C., has an immediate relief, part-time (0.35 FTE) Occupational Therapist opening. This position is to provide coverage until January 2026, or the return of incumbent.
This community-based position has schedule with a 0.45 FTE facility-based position for a total FTE of 0.80.

Home and Community Care Occupational Therapists play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive in-home assessments, consultations, and treatments to clients and their families. They work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans, educate clients on self-care techniques, and recommend modifications to enhance home accessibility and safety. By providing guidance on mobility devices and adaptive equipment, a therapist empowers clients to improve their physical capabilities and achieve greater independence in daily activities, ultimately contributing to their overall health and well-being. Additionally, they oversee Rehabilitation Assistants, ensuring seamless coordination and transfer of function within the rehabilitation team.

Qualfications
• Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
• Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professions of British Columbia (CHCPBC) [formerly College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC)]. Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists.
• Valid Driver’s license.
