Position Summary
Community Hospital Operations Supervisor, Medical Lab Technologist III position is available at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, B.C. This is a relief full-time position, available until the return of the current incumbent. This positions schedule is Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00 with some evening and night shifts as required.

What will you work on:

Supervise, mentor and coach a small team of laboratory staff and coordination of daily inpatient/outpatient activities. Provide technical guidance to lab staff in conjunction with Specialists and leadership. Facilitates workplace solutions, and promotes continuous learning. Coordinates the implementation of processes and procedures, standards, goals and objectives. Ensure that policies, procedures, accreditation and safety standards are maintained.

Cariboo Memorial Hospital (CMH) located in Williams Lake, B.C. is a Level 2, 31 bed community hospital serving Williams Lake and surrounding communities. CMH emergency department operates 24/7 handling over 21,000 visits per year, in addition to offering a range of acute care specialties and allied health services.

Qualfications
• Medical Laboratory Technologist with current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with CSMLS/BCSLS
• Minimum of three years’ recent experience as a general duty technologist in a medical laboratory
• Minimum of one year recent leadership experience
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the facility
