Position Summary
Interior Health is seeking a dedicated Casual Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team at Royal Inland Hospital, located in Kamloops, BC. Shift types include rotating day and evening shifts.

Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and shifts can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

What Will You Work On?
Pharmacists are at the forefront of healthcare, providing essential pharmacy services. Duties include interpreting medication orders and prescriptions, assessing therapeutic suitability, and ensuring medications are efficiently and accurately dispensed, compounded, and labeled.

You will communicate with healthcare professionals and patients to resolve prescription issues, offer instructions on medication use, and participate in medication use evaluations, safety initiatives, quality control activities, and clinical drug trials. You will also ensure all activities comply with legal, professional, and departmental standards.

About This Location:
Royal Inland Hospital’s (RIH) Pharmacy is our second largest hospital in the interior region. The Pharmacy consists of many generalist and specialist team members, who work collaboratively in a variety of disciplines to deliver innovative pharmacy services utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

Qualfications
• Current registration as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia; and
• Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged.
