Position Summary
Interior Health is seeking a dedicated Casual Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team at Shuswap Lake General Hospital, located in Salmon Arm, BC. Shift types include rotating day shifts.

Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and shifts can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

What Will You Work On?
Pharmacists are at the forefront of healthcare, providing essential pharmacy services. Duties include interpreting medication orders and prescriptions, assessing therapeutic suitability, and ensuring medications are efficiently and accurately dispensed, compounded, and labeled.

You will communicate with healthcare professionals and patients to resolve prescription issues, offer instructions on medication use, and participate in medication use evaluations, safety initiatives, quality control activities, and clinical drug trials. You will also ensure all activities comply with legal, professional, and departmental standards.

About This Location:
Shuswap Lake Hospital is a 42-bed hospital in the Thompson-Cariboo-Shuswap health service area. Located in Salmon Arm, B.C the hospital offers services including surgical, inpatient, obstetrics and 24-hour emergency.

Salmon Arm lies in the heart of BC, nestled between the beautiful mountains and hills of the Shuswap Region. Qualfications
• Current registration as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia; and
• Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged.
