Pharmacy Technician

Position Summary
Interior Health is seeking a dedicated Casual Pharmacy Technician to join Vernon Jubilee Hospital’s Pharmacy Department. Shift types include rotating day shifts.

Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and shifts can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

As a registered Pharmacy Technician, your role extends beyond traditional boundaries. You'll spearhead a range of technical functions in prescription preparation and processing, guided by the high standards set by the College of Pharmacists of B.C. and aligned with our organizational protocols.

About This Location:
VJH is in the Okanagan health service area and responsible for providing core medical and surgical specialty services to patients throughout its service area. Located in Vernon, between Kelowna and Kamloops, VJH offers services including core physician specialties, Pharmacy, 24 hour emergency and trauma services, acute and obstetrical care.

The thriving city of Vernon is home to approx. 40,000 residents, situated at the northern end of the sunny Okanagan Valley within a short drive to Kelowna International Airport and UBC Okanagan. Qualfications
• Grade 12;
• Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience; and
• Current practicing registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
