Position Summary
Joining us at Invermere and District Hospital you’ll play a critical role within a multi-disciplinary team setting and within varied healthcare settings.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our warm and welcoming team in Invermere. In this role care is focused on rehabilitation and recovery to clients in acute care and/or long-term settings who do not require specialized, intensive monitored care. Focus is on improving the functions of clients with musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions so that they may be safely discharged home.
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical status, functional abilities, and goals, utilizing an evidence-based approach to develop and implement tailored treatment plans. Your expertise will focus on improving, maintaining, or supporting clients’ physical performance and independence. As part of a collaborative team, you will educate clients and caregivers on self-management and injury prevention, while working to achieve optimal health outcomes through ongoing evaluation and adjustment of treatment strategies. You’ll offer guidance and direction to rehabilitation assistants, ensuring that specific care needs are met and functions are transferred appropriately for optimal client outcomes. Days of work are Monday to Friday; 08:30 to 14:33 hours.

Located in the scenic town of Invermere, the hospital offers emergency care, inpatient and outpatient services, maternity care, rehabilitation, and palliative care to residents and seasonal visitors.
