Position Summary
Kimberley Health Centre has a Community Respiratory Therapist permanent, part-time (0.82 FTE) opening. This position is part of the East Kootenay Primary Care Network. Days of work are Tuesdays to Fridays.

The Primary Care Respiratory Therapist partners with family physicians, primary care providers, and allied healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of the local community. The Respiratory Therapist adapts to the holistic, person-centered approach of the Primary Care Team structure, with a commitment to ensuring culturally safe and responsive care. Build on proficiency in working within optimized scopes of practice to maximize efficiency and efficacy. Additionally, a Respiratory Therapist is required to have flexibility to transition over time to providing care in private family physician clinics and conducting home visits, further extending accessibility and continuity of care for patients.

Qualfications
• Graduation from a recognized program in Respiratory Therapy.
• Two years’ recent experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, asthma education, respiratory home care, home ventilation, home oxygen, and sleep disordered breathing screening, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current certification with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and eligible for registration with the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT) and CSRT.
• Current valid driver’s license.
