Located in the picturesque community of Salmon Arm, BC, this position offers the flexibility to accommodate varying schedules while providing opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
Casual Employment Opportunities:
Enjoy the flexibility of casual employment, with shifts ranging from zero to 37.5 hours per week. Day and evening shifts are available, accommodating varying schedules. Casual positions provide opportunities for internal advancement, allowing employees to apply for permanent part-time or full-time positions within our organization and across Interior Health.
Your Role:
In this role, you'll provide recreation and leisure programs to clients, both individually and in groups, tailoring activities to their needs. You'll assess their recreation requirements, develop therapeutic plans, and coordinate their delivery, evaluating outcomes to ensure effectiveness. Documenting observations and collaborating with healthcare professionals to address client issues are crucial aspects of the role. Additionally, you'll contribute to Recreation Therapy services, participating in quality assurance, research, and educational activities as required.

Qualfications
• Graduation from a recognized diploma or degree program in Recreational Therapy plus two years recent related experience.
• Eligible for professional membership with the B.C. Therapeutic Recreation Association (BCTRA).
• Current valid BC driver’s license
