Recreation Therapy Department at Overlander Extended Care in Kamloops, BC. Our team is committed to providing exceptional care and support to our residents, and we are looking for a dedicated team member to help us achieve this goal.
Your Role:
As a Recreation Therapy Worker, you will work collaboratively within our interdisciplinary team to implement our established Recreation Therapy Program. Your responsibilities will include conducting individual and group leisure/recreation therapy programs such as arts, cultural events, crafts, sports, music, cooking, gardening, and exercises. Additionally, you will organize program spaces and equipment, accompany residents on outings, and ensure their participation and comfort.

Once hired into a casual role, employees are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent part-time or full-time positions. Many opportunities with Interior Health begin with casual on-call positions and lead to regular employment.

• Completion of a recognized recreation course(s) plus two year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
