Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department at the Penticton Regional Hospital in beautiful Penticton, B.C. Effective April 1, 2024, the hourly wage for this position will be $41.42 to $55.91
About the Job:
The Registered Nurse:
• Provides nursing care to emergency patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers
• Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice
• Maintains and advances own clinical competence
• Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned
This is a PERMANENT FULL-TIME OPPORTUNITY.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights; rotating from 07:00 - 19:00 and 19:00 - 07:00.
About this location/unit:
PRH: Our Emergency Department receives 37,000+ patient visits per year and the staffing complement consists of a Patient Care Coordinator, RNs, a LPN, and Unit Clerk. The RNs work 12-hour shifts and we operate the High Acuity Response Team for the South Okanagan Region which is a great opportunity for anyone looking to expand their scope of nursing practice.

Qualfications
Education, Training and Experience:
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
• Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of the assigned area as required by the position:
o Advanced preparation in an ED clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
o Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 3 years
o Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 3 years
