Position Summary
Shuswap Lake General Hospital in Salmon Arm BC has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Respiratory Services Clerk to join their Respiratory Services team!
Days Monday to Friday: 08:00 to 16:00 rotating
Days off: Sun,Sat, STAT
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week. Many careers with us begin with casual employment and lead to permanent or temporary career opportunities.
This position performs a variety of clerical duties related to the work of Allied Health Respiratory Services, such as scheduling and booking out-patient appointments, patient registration, receptionist functions, typing, requisitioning supplies, data entry and other related clerical duties.
Qualfications
Education, Training and Experience:
Grade 12 and two years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to keyboard at 45 wpm.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Ability to deal with others effectively
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
Ability to organize work
Ability to operate related equipment.
