Position Summary
Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) has an immediate permanent, full time Community Respiratory Therapist (RT) opening. Days of work are Mondays through Fridays.

Our Community Respiratory Therapists are key in transitioning patients from acute care to their homes assessing medications, oxygen, and education needs. The RT helps manage chronic conditions, palliative patients, and acute on chronic exacerbations. Education is provided in our respiratory clinics, pulmonary rehab, and home oxygen. Local travel is required within the proximity of Peachland to Lake Country.

Qualfications
• Graduation from a recognized program in Respiratory Therapy and two years’ recent experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, asthma education, respiratory home care, home ventilation, home oxygen, and sleep disordered breathing screening, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current certification with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and eligible for registration with the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT) and CSRT.
• Current valid driver’s license.
