Position Summary
Interior Health is seeking an experienced Rural Adult Mental Health & Substance Use Clinician | Child & Youth to join the MHSU team for a permanent full time position based at the Williams Lake Mental Health Centre in beautiful Williams Lake, B.C.
Salary Range:
Effective April 1, 2024, the pay scale for this position is $42.27 to $52.81

What will you work on?
This position is for a Child & Youth Mental Health counsellor/clinician and the Clinician will be:
• providing culturally appropriate services to clients within the Northern Secwepemc First Nation communities
• engaging with appropriate culturally sensitive resources
• providing culturally appropriate client assessments
• preparing reports as required and recommending action plans to the Professional Practice Leader and Health Leads within the Northern Secwepemc communities
• clinical counselling is a priority
The Substance Use Clinician provides, at the advanced practice level, assessment, treatment, service coordination and, as required, urgent response to the most complex clients, frequently with co-occurring disorders, who may also have serious functional impairment in the domains of physical health and personal, family, financial, occupational, and social life. The Substance Use Clinician functions as a primary clinician utilizing a variety of specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients and/or their families.
Scheduling Information:
Shifts of work will be Monday to Friday 08:30-16:30 with weekends and statutory holidays off.

Qualfications
Education, Training and Experience:
Masters degree from an accredited educational institution in an Allied Health, Behavioural, or Social Science field relevant to the position.
Two years’ recent related experience in a mental health and substance use environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current valid BC driver’s license.
