Position Summary
Immediate opening in the Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) team with Community Mental Health and Substance Use. This role provides outreach services to clients in community. This position works a 4 on 4 off rotation; 09:00 to 19:00 hours.

About the position:
The Social Worker provides clinical social work services to patients and families within the assigned Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) specialty area. The Social Worker functions as a member of the larger health care team and as a member of a specific MHSU multi-disciplinary team whose purpose is to ensure that persons with serious acute mental health problems and / or problematic substance use issues; have access to timely, responsive, evidence based short-term treatment and clinical supports across the continuum of available services. The Social Worker provides, at the advanced practice level, social work assessment, psychosocial assessments, treatment, service coordination, education discharge planning, and as required, urgent response to the most complex clients, frequently with co-occurring disorders, who may also have serious functional impairment in the domains of physical health and personal, family, financial, occupational, and social life. The Social Worker acts as a primary clinician utilizing a variety of specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients and/or their families.

Qualfications
• Master's degree in Social Work from an approved school of Social Work, plus (2) years recent, related clinical experience in a mental health treatment setting.
• Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
• Valid British Columbia driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
