Position Summary
An exciting permanent part time (0.80 FTE) opportunity is now available for a Team Leader with the Mental Health Eating Disorder team at the Vernon Health Centre in beautiful and sunny Vernon, B.C.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced mental health professional with experience in a leadership capacity and with the ability to form strong relationships to join our team.

What Will You Work On?

The Team Leader provides line leadership, supervision, clinical support, service delivery level problem solving to multidisciplinary Mental Health & Substance Use teams, and direct client care as required.

The Team Leader works to deliver high quality, client focused programs across the continuum of community services and provides liaison to local agencies and other service providers.

In collaboration with the Program Manager, the Team Leader is also responsible for the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of clinical practice to ensure quality client care outcomes.

About this unit:

Our Eating Disorders Treatment Services can help by providing you with individual and group therapy.

Services may include:

• Psychological & psychiatric assessment & treatments
• Group counselling & support
• Individual & family counselling & education

Interventions to:

• Initiate renourishment
• Promote medical stabilization

Scheduling Information:

Shift times are from 08:30 to 16:30 hours. Days of work are Monday to Thursday.

Qualfications
Education, Training, and Experience:

A Master’s Degree (from an accredited educational institution) in a social or behavioral science field relevant to the position.

Four years recent related experience including experience in individual, family and group modalities of practice in the clinical specialty of the assigned area.

One year recent experience in a leadership capacity, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current valid BC driver’s license.
