Position Summary
We are currently seeking a casual Medical Radiography Technologist to join our team at Nicola Valley Health Centre in Merritt, B.C.!
Casual employment means work requirements can vary between 0 and 37.5 hours per week. Work will be available on a short-notice, on-call bases and/or blocks of shifts pre-scheduled to relieve leaves of absences. Opportunity to apply for Regular employment positions within the Internal Recruitment job posting process. Shifts will be Days and Evenings with the shift times being 09:00 to 17:00, 12:00 to 20:00, 07:30 to 15:30, 08:30 to 16:30. Some of these casual shifts will include on-call.
What Will You Work On?
We provide general x-ray exams, preform ECG and holter monitoring to a large seasonal population with both a busy ER and outpatient patient workload. Part of our workload includes long term care clients.
Effective April 01, 2024, the hourly wage will be $36.69 to $45.81 per hour.
How Will We Help You Grow?
New staff will be provided with full orientation to the department as well as all areas of the hospital and attached long term care. They will also be given on site training in regards to the cardiac procedures we perform in the department. Qualfications
Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program.
Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
