Our Risk Services - Governance, Risk and Compliance Services (GRCS) professionals provide a range of risk advisory services to organizations including internal audits, internal control advisory services, enterprise risk management support, assessments of third-party relationships, regulatory compliance, governance reviews and sustainability initiatives. We analyze and assess an organization’s business risks and related processes and systems to help management understand and address business objectives, requirements, risks, controls, and identify improvement opportunities. Our professionals bring both deep technical and industry experience.

 

We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our growing Ottawa Atlantic GRCS practice at a Consultant level. The successful candidate will be responsible in supporting the planning, execution, and reporting for engagements, working both as part of larger engagement teams and individually with guidance and review from more senior professionals.


What you will do

  • You will be joining an experienced team and will primarily assist and lead the planning and execution of internal controls over financial reporting projects (ICFR – 52-109/SOX 404), and support other projects within internal audit, risk management, and evaluation.
  • You will demonstrate your proven communication skills by providing your business expertise through conversations, email and detailed summaries and reports
  • You will enjoy a variety of projects assisting organizations that include conducting client interviews, reviewing and analyzing documents and data, conducting research and benchmarking and facilitating workshops
  • You will make a difference with your contributions to other practice initiatives through knowledge sharing, HR initiatives and practice management opportunities
  • You will have the opportunity to participate in the development of client engagement plans, deliverables and expectations

What you bring to the role

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college/university in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or other relevant program
  • Your accounting and/or audit designation(s) are desirable (e.g. CPA and/or CIA) and you aspire to pursue further relevant education and designations if applicable (e.g. CISA, CRMA)
  • You have 2 years’ experience with a public accounting firm or within industry and have experience in risk and controls
  • You are familiar with using data analytics to assist with the planning, delivery, and reporting of engagements
  • Ability to secure Government Security Clearance
