The Opportunity:

 

The Manager ESG, Global Procurement reports to the Director ESG & Risk and is responsible for supporting the development and execution of the strategy and plans to operationalize ESG procurement. Our commitments include halving carbon emissions in our supply chain by 2030; respecting human rights including addressing the risk of child, forced and compulsory labor in our supply chain and empowering minorities in the marketplace

 


What you will do

  • Manage the Global CDP Program for decarbonization of supply chain for KPMG International and the 10 largest member firms.
  • Manage the KPMG International Modern Slavery program
  • Facilitate education and awareness around ESG and the role of Procurement to Global Procurement team members
  • Engage with the relevant teams within KPMG (such as Our Impact Plan Working Group) to ascertain firm direction on relevant areas and work with ESG Procurement Director on ESG Procurement program roadmap, strategy and execution plans.
  • Create and execute communication & engagement plans for key suppliers to help deliver ESG procurement strategies and targets.
  • Facilitate collaboration with the large member firm procurement teams through the ESG Procurement Working Group, to facilitate leveraging of best practices and knowledge sharing and chair the regular Working Group calls.

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
  • Understands generic sourcing and procurement principles and best practices and has relevant experience around sustainable procurement programs, including Supply chain decarbonization, supply chain climate risk, Supplier diversity and inclusion, Modern Slavery.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and create tailored material using a variety of mediums to support program communication, training, and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and has a strong understanding of how the development of effective stakeholder relationships will drive adoption and success
  • Has excellent organizational skills and delivers high quality products
