From rapidly growing Canadian companies to established multinational enterprises, our team of over 150 professionals across Canada assists clients in managing their tax liabilities, streamlining international restructuring plans, and enhancing multijurisdictional tax compliance.

 

KPMG US Corporate Tax advisors provide expert guidance on cross-border investments and timely advice on changes in legislation, laws, rules, and regulations. We help clients navigate the complex US Corporate Tax landscape, identify and resolve tax issues, and add value in reaching their goals.

What you will do

  • Engage in a broad range of complex and challenging US tax work, requiring significant analysis, assessment, and quantification.
  • Prepare or review US corporate and partnership tax returns for multinational clients, and US tax provisions for public and private companies.
  • Collaborate closely with Managers and Partners on tax planning and advisory engagements.
  • Work alongside leading tax practitioners in their field, with excellent career growth prospects and mentoring opportunities.

What you bring to the role

  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a public accounting firm.
  • In the process of obtaining, or willing to obtain, a US CPA designation or Enrolled Agent.
  • Willingness to complete a US Masters of Tax.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Strong time-management skills and self-motivation.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Eager to learn new skills and assist in developing and implementing tax planning strategies.
  • Excellent client service skills with an aptitude for understanding clients' businesses and maintaining strong client relationships.
