Building structure technician

Job description

Under the supervision of the project engineer, the technician will participate in one or all stages of a project (preliminary, execution, monitoring). He/She will have to work independently and in a team. The technician will have to show initiative and versatility. A learning culture and a pleasant work environment in a motivated team will be provided to help the selected person thrive and flourish in their role.

Main tasks:
Design and plan buildings (wood, steel, concrete, masonry, etc.).
Prepare sketches as directed by the designer.
Participate in coordination meetings.
Carry out site surveys.

Required skills:
DEP in residential and commercial dratfing or DEC in architectural technology.
Proficiency in Revit software (essential) and Autocad.
Experience of 3 years and more in the design of wood, steel, concrete structures.
Reading and understanding plans.
Resourcefulness, autonomy and team spirit.
Attention to detail, a sense of a job well done and good work organization.
Asset: Bilingual.
