We are looking for an intermediate structural technician to join our office in Gatineau.

Job description

Under the supervision of the main technician and the project engineer, the technician will participate in one or all stages of a project (preliminary, execution, monitoring). He/She will have to work independently and in a team. The technician will have to show initiative and versatility. A learning culture and a pleasant work environment in a motivated team will be provided to help the selected person thrive and flourish in their role.

Main tasks:
Design and plan buildings (wood, steel, concrete, masonry, etc.).
Prepare sketches as directed by the designer.
Participate in coordination meetings.
Carry out site surveys.

Required skills:
Proficiency in Revit software (essential) and Autocad.
Experience of 3 years or more in the design of wood, steel, concrete structures.
Reading and understanding plans.
Resourcefulness, autonomy and team spirit.
Attention to detail, a sense of a job well done and good work organization.
Bilingual.
