DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director - Information Systems, the incumbent will be responsible the smooth running of the application lifecycle of the company's information systems. He uses his knowledge and expertise to guide information systems strategies and ensures consistency between the company's various operational components, both software and human. In addition, he contributes to the improvement of solutions and ensures their durability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Analysis and development

  • Produce detailed configuration specifications and/or functional design specifications that meet business requirements and align with the solution architecture;
  • Perform SAP configuration and, if necessary, guide and collaborate with programmers, SAP Basis administrators or analysts on configurations and functional designs
  • Resolve all design development issues that may arise;
  • Diagnose problems, carry out corrective actions (or coordinate their implementation) and document them for future reference;
  • Any other related task.

Documentation

  • Document system usage to support super users and process owners;
  • Collaborate on knowledge transfer to superus ers and process owners;
  • Document business processes and ensure their updating.

Tests

  • Produce scenarios and prepare data to test all functionalities identified in the functional design;
  • Conduct unit tests and record results as needed;
  • Assist super users and process owners in conducting acceptance trials and operational testing.

Management, maintenance and improvement of the solution

  • Define the details of the implementation plans, including deployment;
  • Actively participate in deployment, coordination and standardization;
  • Contribute to the architecture of the solution;
  • Apply and ensure compliance with all required standards;
  • Actively work to evolve processes while remaining aligned with the needs, mission, objectives, recognized best business practices and corporate priorities.

Expert role

  • Act as an expert in his field, provide opinions and advice;
  • Influence the standardization of business processes by respecting standards;
  • Develop its field of activity by monitoring the evolution of standards and best practices;
  • Research, define and communicate best business practices in conjunction with super users and process owners;
  • Support super users and process owners in defining security roles and ensure the application of security profiles.

Planning

  • Conduct periodic meetings with the various super users and process owners and managers to prioritize requests and participate in the cost/benefit evaluation of change requests,

PROFILE

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or information technology;
  • Any other combination of training and experience deemed relevant will be considered;
  • Have a minimum of ten(10) years of relevant experience as a FICO;
  • Experience with design, implementation, configuration, development, support and training in the following functions for the FI-CO modules: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Asset Management (AA), Bank Reconciliation (BL), and knowledge of the following modules would be an asset; Cash Management (CM), Investment Management (IM), ECCS, Concur and IBPF;
  • Experience with HANA or S4/HANA;
  • Strong English and French language skills, both written and oral;
  • Be recognized as a positive influence in the workplace;
  • Possess strong interpersonal communication skills;
  • Know how to popularize complex technical content;
  • Have strong problem solving skills;
  • Demonstrate great rigour and possess a highly developed analytical and synthesizing mind;
  • Ability to handle several files at once.

Requested skills

  • BAC en informatique, en administration des affaires ou en comptabilité;
  • Minimum de dix (10) ans d’expérience pertinente dans ce rôle ou dans un rôle similaire;
  • Toute combinaison d’expériences et de formations académiques sera considérée;
  • Posséder une expérience avec le design, l’implantation, la configuration, le développement, le support et la formation dans les fonctions suivantes pour les modules FI-CO : GL, AR, AP, AA, BL;
