Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee the team to ensure effective master data management, technology utilization, and process optimization
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards to maintain high levels of governance
- Direct the creation, maintenance, and management of supplier catalogues within Coupa or similar software platforms
- Lead performance measurement initiatives to assess procurement effectiveness and identify areas for continuous improvement
- Manage and analyze invoice exceptions to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments
- Evaluate new technology solutions for potential business improvement and share insights with relevant departments
- Direct the implementation and ongoing optimization of procurement technologies, ensuring effective adoption within the organization
- Develop training materials and conduct company-wide sessions to ensure successful adoption of procurement technologies
- Oversee the budget for procurement technology projects, ensuring resources are efficiently allocated to maximize value
- Provide comprehensive reporting, exception analysis, and spend analytics to support optimized procurement processes and decision-making
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on procurement technology and process optimization
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field
- Professional procurement certifications (e.g., Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) an asset
- Proven leadership experience in procurement technology enablement or procurement transformation initiatives
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain principles, and change management strategies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
- Extensive experience with procurement technology solutions and ERP systems, ensuring effective implementation and optimization
- Proficiency in technology and the ability to leverage data-driven insights to drive decision-making
- Strong problem-solving capabilities using analytical techniques to define, address, and resolve complex challenges
- Experience in business process documentation, including process improvement and redesign initiatives
