Essential Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with crew members to uphold construction standards and best practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized work site, following all safety guidelines.
- Assist tradespersons such as carpenters, bricklayers, cement finishers, roofers and glaziers in construction activities
- Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
- Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
- Act as a spotter for heavy equipment
- Install and maintain safety equipment and signage
- Care for and manage small tools, ensuring they are clean, properly stored, and well-maintained.
Qualifications:
- Experience and understanding in carpentry skills, formwork, and concrete processes for winter construction is an asset
- Safety-focused mindset, with any relevant safety training certificates.
- Detail-oriented and eager to learn construction standards.
- Previous experience in commercial construction is required.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
Work Conditions
- Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
- Overtime may be required to meet construction deadlines
- Primarily outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Compensation
$23.51 - $30.61 per hourThis is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.
Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
