You are an experienced Parts Technician with effective organization and time management skills. You will be responsible for maintaining parts inventory for our growing Ledcor Equipment Shop. You have experience with purchasing of parts and materials. Your self-motivated nature can work efficiently and effectively, independently or in a team environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support shop and field technicians with parts, material, and information for heavy off-road and specialized truck equipment
  • Interpret parts manuals and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) schematics
  • Source parts via phone, email and internet from various vendors
  • Purchase equipment parts and materials
  • Communicate with Maintenance Technicians and management on the status parts
  • Ensure cost efficiency when filling orders in a timely manner
  • Use electronic order system to create and complete orders and communicate back to vendors and technicians
  • Track, receive, sort, and distribute parts to the shop or field technicians
  • Demonstrates leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Part Technician ticket, be a registered Parts Technician Apprentice from a recognized provincial authority or have extensive experience in the trade
  • 2 to 3 years of industry experience, preferably in highway truck or heavy equipment environments
  • Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s license and clean 3-year driver’s abstract
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Suite of Products
  • Advanced knowledge in CAT related heavy equipment parts is an asset
  • Knowledge using JD Edwards, Caterpillar SIS or other equipment manufacture platforms is an asset
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds

Work Conditions

  • Office based role out of the Leduc, Alberta office with minor travel requirements within Alberta
  • Monday to Friday work schedule
