Essential Responsibilities

  • Operate a Class 1 truck and 45t boom truck to transport materials to job sites.
  • Ensure safe loading, securing and unloading of materials.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections including field level hazard assessments, crane lift charts, calculating crane capabilities and weights
  • Operate picker to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials.
  • Responsible for transporting side booms around site using winch truck and lowboy trailer. Properly securing loads in a manner that complies with weight restrictions and government regulations.
  • Hauling large diameter pipe from site to site or from yards to work locations with winch truck and highboy trailer

Qualifications

  • Must have Alberta journeyman crane and hoisting ticket
  • Must have Class 1 license and air brakes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with client and team members
  • Successful completion of pre access drug and alcohol testing
  • Knowledge of road and crane regulations
  • Forklift ticket would be an asset but not necessary.

Work Conditions

  • Shift based position, 14 days on 14 days off schedule working 12 hours per day
  • Chartered flights from Edmonton or Calgary
  • Site based camp accommodations provided
