Description
We are an agri-food processing company, a leader in the production of apple and fruite puree. We employ over 300 people in the MRC Haut-Saint-Laurent region. Role:
The role of the production and continuous improvement coordinator is to ensure that his team achieves all production and productivity and efficiency improvement objectives while respecting quality requirements, delivery deadlines and maintaining a harmonious and safe work environment. He plans, organizes and controls production activities and leads a team in compliance with company policies and strategies determined by management.
Responsibilities:
Know and comply at all times with food quality and safety standards, occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.
Planning:
Make action plans by setting team goals related to the work to be done
Establish risk management to control and reduce the impacts of feared events
Organize:
Ensure that supervisors have the necessary tools and resource to achieve their production line objectives.
Control:
Establish methods to achieve production goals and coordinate activities
Meet deadlines
Measure the gaps between what was planned and the results (dashboard)
Continuously seek to improve the efficiency of its sector
Manage:
Ensure that the supervisors understand their role and responsibilities in relation to operations, quality and occupation health and safety.
Evaluate staff bases on attendance, quality and attitude at work as well as set standards and objectives
Coach supervisors to improve production line efficiency
Intervene when a supervisor's performance is unsatisfactory and apply disciplinary measures if necessary
Communicate:
Communicate the organization's expectations to the team regarding attendance, quality, work attitude and production standards
Ensure good communication and harmonious relations between the production lines and other departments
Facilitate efficient and satisfactory team meetings
