Job summary

Under the authority of the Quality Assurance Coordinator , the job holder is responsible for coordinating all daily quality control activities. It recommends and approves changes for compliance.

Job Responsibility (without limitation)

  • To know, respect and advocate the rules of health and safety at work, to intervene in a respectful manner with a colleague, a superior, a visitor, or any other individual in case of non-respect of one of these rules;
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with all other employees and any other contract worker, visitor, stakeholder or customer of Leahy Orchards Inc;
  • Plan, execute and follow up on audits (internal, external, certification);
  • Document, revise and improve the quality and safety programs and plans and ensure their effectiveness;
  • Re-evaluate, validate, verify and keep up to date the various quality, HACCP and SQF documents and procedures and other certifications (including organic, kosher and natural health products);
  • Prepare and conduct internal and external audits, as well as follow-ups (DAC or related non-conformances);
  • Follow up on internal and external Corrective Action Requests and Non-Conformances within the prescribed timeframe and issue an action plan to avoid recurrence;
  • Supervise and follow up on pest management activities;
  • Take the samples provided for in the environmental control program (finished products, raw materials, water, surfaces, etc.), organize the sending of samples and analyze the results to verify compliance with the program;
  • In case of non-conformity or unsatisfactory situations, perform the risk analysis (health and quality), take the necessary actions to correct the situation and document it according to the requirements
  • Ensure the follow-up of respect of the regulations in the short and long term.
