We are looking for a Tax Specialist to offer efficient strategies to individuals and corporations to help them minimize their global tax liabilities (Canadian and American taxation). The person will carry out moderately complex engagements autonomously. Main responsibilities:

  • Apply Canadian and American taxation laws. Identify non-respect cases, incorrect application, and interpretation and non-compliance issues. Form appropriate conclusions and recommendations.
  • Provide clear internal communication on various Canadian and American taxation issues.
  • Offer compliance and planning services to Canadian businesses with commercial activities in the US.
  • Offer taxation and estate planning advice to American citizens living in Canada and to Canadian citizens working or with commercial activities in the US, or investing in US assets.
  • Participate in dispute analysis and settlements with tax authorities.
  • Develop and implement strategies for clients to maximize business opportunities.
  • Identify and document various tax positions, including risk analysis.
  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, and trusts; and other tax forms.Produce various tax researches (Canadian and American taxation).
  • Find answer to Canadian and American taxation questions.
  • Document researches with tax notes or clients’ memos.Inform immediate supervisor of needs and met/expected issues, in a timely manner.
  • Participate in Canadian and American taxation training content.
  • Act as an internal facilitator.
